Creamfields DJ Competition – Get Heard!
Creamfields has launched a nationwide competition that will give one innovative DJ an incredible opportunity to perform alongside a host of legendary DJs including Paul van Dyk, Fatboy Slim, Tiesto, 2Many DJs, Erick Morillo, Sasha and Paul Oakenfold. Hosted by Creamfields and MySpace, the DJ competition runs from 26 June through to 3 pm on Friday 25 July 2008.
Black Entertainment Television Awards Winners
This years Black Entertainment Television (BET) Award Ceremony was every bit as glamorous and extravagant as it should have been. Kanye West and UGK were the biggest winners as they each carried two awards away at the ceremony, which took place on June 24th at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Join in the Vibe of the V Festival 2008
Though it is still a few months away, music lovers in England are no doubt already gearing up for the 2008 V Festival. This year’s festival is set to take place on August 16th and 17th and has a mind-blowing line-up of top-notch acts. The only difficult part will be deciding which venue to choose.
Peter Gabriel Releases Big Blue Ball
It’s been seventeen years since musician Peter Gabriel announced his decision to start making his multi-lingual, multi-cultural album, but “Big Blue Ball” has finally been released. The album, which he began back in 1991, has taken so long to get done that many fans have either forgotten about it or thought the project was a write-off.
Goo Goo Dolls Tour the UK
Fans of the Goo Goo Dolls are no doubt thrilled that the band will be touring in the UK in July. The band will be making an appearance on the Main Stage at the 2008 O2 Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park on Sunday 6 July as part of their tour.
