The Mobo Awards have always been somewhat controversial and this year was no different. In the end the ceremony made for a spectacular evening of entertainment and a number of great artists were honoured for their role in the music industry.

The recent announcement of the nominees for the 2008 American Music Awards has raised more than a few eyebrows. The nominees were announced by Jesse McCartney and Jimmy Kimmel at the Beverly Hills Hotel on October 14. Music fans are complaining that a lot of the nominations are out of touch with reality since it seems that a number of the more popular artists have been overlooked.

The Pussycat Dolls have gone from burlesque troupe to pop girl group sensation in a relatively short period of time and now they’re getting ready to take the UK by storm when they embark on their Doll Domination Tour.
David Byrne to Tour Europe
Music legend David Byrne is set to tour Europe early next year. The tour will start March 9, 2009, and will be entitled “David Byrne, Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno.” The tour will feature Byrne performing a large number of songs from his collaborations with Brian Eno, and will include work from when Eno and Byrne were paired together to create works for Talking Heads.
